Arc Vector: reinventing the cafe racer

The Vector tears apart convention just as it tears apart the asphalt. An electric motorbike that impacts the soul as much as technology. A cafe racer of tomorrow that enhances freedom by amplifying the senses. A motorbike that makes you feel.

Taking a different path

Arc is a pioneering electric motorbike company, based in Coventry, England, on a mission to explore the earth in state-of-the-art style combined with a commitment to trying to protect it. To do this, they have created a machine that feels like second nature. A machine that makes a whole new connection with the road and the environment. A transformation vehicle that will challenge the way its rider sees and thinks, and one that will shape the world around it.

With the Arc Vector, they bring to market the most advanced electric motorbike ever; one that utilises exotic materials, thoroughbred components, advanced architecture and technological innovations never before applied to two-wheeled transportation. All of this wrapped up in a breathtakingly futuristic bodywork with post-modern nods to the past of café racers.

” The ultimate man – machine combination”

Made by non-conformist motorbike makers for spirited and environmentally conscious people. Designed and built by a team of visionary engineering specialists, the Vector brings together technology that is new to the world, offers best-in-class performance, and provides a level of exclusivity that makes it one of the most desirable EVs in production.

A bike as individual as you

The Arc Vector is a beautiful combination of the finest materials: a perfect balance of durability, performance and aesthetic mastery that reflects the Arc philosophy. Forensic attention to detail ensures that every piece is optimised for every purpose, resulting in the purest, most balanced design possible.

The styling is reminiscent of the classic spirit of a British café racer, a symbol of freedom and high-fashion that stands for unparalleled handling and a debonair attitude. It’s also astonishingly modern, not just because of the very latest technological innovations, many of which are being used on a motorbike for the first time, but also because of the machine’s modelling from a futuristic yet classically inspired vision.

At pace, the Vector rivals fossil superbikes, sprinting from standstill to 100 in 3.1 seconds and cruising to 200 km/h. Constant torque provides phenomenal throttle control and, if desired, ‘wheelie’ fireworks. Full charging is via the world standard CCS charging interface; you lift the copper ring over the charging port, plug in, grab a coffee and your Vector is charged from empty to full in 40 minutes. The combination of range, performance and functionality sets a new benchmark.

Charging

The Vector uses the global standard CCS charging interface, drive into any service station with charging facilities, lift the copper ring over the charging port, plug in, grab a coffee and your Vector is charged from empty to full in 40 minutes.

Human machine interface

The unique Arc Pilot System provides a transformative driving experience, giving you feedback and alerts, keeping you safe and agile – so you can enjoy your journey and make the most of your moment. Together with Knox, Arc developed the Origin armour and jacket system that incorporates the haptics of the Pilot System.

” A motorbike that is as individual as you are – unique to you. A journey like no other.”

Head up display (H.U.D.) Helmet

The Arc Zenith helmet’s projection-based HUD (Head-up Display) is similar to fighter pilot systems. The helmet’s integrated rear camera can be displayed via the HUD and automatically kicks in when it detects something in your blind spot. The different modes are selected via a controller on the bike – or can be activated by voice and work wirelessly. The Arc Zenith is technically advanced, comfortable, cool (in both senses of the word) and seamlessly combines form and function.

Materials

Sustainability is at the forefront of the Arc mindset. Our planet facilitates our travels, so we build machines that confront the elements while protecting them. Vector’s design embodies sustainability for progress: using the best suited materials, reducing mass, improving performance and minimising waste.

The Arc code ensures that the right decisions are made to achieve the best possible product with the available resources. Arc is about the perfect line of best fit and ensuring the highest quality product. From carbon fibre to flax, from copper to durable leather. Always fit for purpose.

“At Arc, we set out to create an electric motor with soul,” explains Mark Truman, “that excites riders as much as a flame-spitting internal combustion cycle does, and is more inspiring and desirable than any other motor.”

Ownership benefits

Part of the customer journey when owning a Vector includes a bespoke session with an Arc designer. Together with you, your dream colour and material finish will be created. During this session, your measurements are taken so the Vector can be tuned to create the perfect geometry for you – so you can sit in it, not on it. The Origin Jacket is professionally tailored and a scan of your entire head facilitates the creation of your unique Zenith helmet.

However, despite its global ambitions, Arc is not building an assembly line. It is a modern craftsman’s business, and all their machines are built by hand. A British brand with a strong, uncompromising ethos. A company that tries to do the right things for the right reasons. Very passionate about what they do and determined to make it happen. Vector is the first contribution to that cause, with Arc as the voice for change.

After a successful company launch, Arc is starting pre-production of 10 very special Limited Edition Vectors. The order book is open, and the first customers will receive their own bespoke Vector by the summer of 2021. With the chance to become an Arc Ambassador in the further development of the HUD helmet and Haptic Jacket.
